Lawyers for four people have viewed new video of a fight at MetLife Stadium following a Jets-New England Patriots game in October.
The video was not shown in court in New Jersey Wednesday night. But the attorneys claim the new security camera video proves their clients were defending themselves.
State police said video posted on YouTube showed Jaclyn Nugent and Amanda MacDowell of Marlborough, Mass., kicking and punching Kurt Paschke of Holbrook, N.Y., who then struck Nugent in the face. David Sacco of Boston was shown striking Paschke.
All are charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Attorneys for the Patriots fans tell The Record newspaper the new video shows Paschke was the aggressor.
Paschke's attorney says "at worst, these are offsetting penalties."
No trial date has been set.
