A jet ski and a small boat crashed near the Statue of Liberty on Sunday, critically injuring the driver of the jet ski, police said.
The 26-year-old man on the jet ski was found unconscious when he was removed from the water, the NYPD said. He remained in critical condition at Lutheran Medical Center.
The NYPD Harbor Unit responded to the crash near Liberty State Island at about 11 a.m.
No further information about the boat and its crew was immediately available.
