Crews Fight Three-Alarm Blaze at Jersey City Hardware Store

One firefighter suffered from smoke inhalation in the blaze

Fire crews in Jersey City fought a three-alarm blaze in a hardware store Tuesday night.

The fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. at the store near Kearney and West Side avenues, according to the Jersey City Fire Department. The fire was brought under control about 11 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, the department says.

One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation, but no one else was injured in the fire.
