Jersey City Blaze Leaves 22 Displaced

Firefighters closed off several major streets in the downtown area while they battled the blaze

Firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze in downtown Jersey City Wednesday afternoon that left 22 people displaced and injured three firefighters.
 
The Jersey Journal reports the fire broke out Wednesday afternoon and could be seen on the top floor and roof of a Grove Street building that houses a pizzeria on its ground floor.
 
Three firefighters sustained minor injuries.
 
Firefighters closed off several major streets in the downtown area while they battled the blaze, causing major delays for commuters and people who were headed out for the holidays.
