Jazz Musician Had Stab Wounds: M.E.

Authorities say a Brooklyn jazz musician found dead and stuffed in a storage trunk had been stabbed in the neck and torso.

Police are investigating the death of Stanley Wright, 62, who was found early Tuesday morning at his home in Brooklyn.

Sources told NBC New York there were signs of a struggle and blood on the second floor of his Chauncey Street home. His car was also missing and his front door unlocked.

The front door to his home was also unlocked, sources say.

According to the Daily News, Wright once taught music at a Brooklyn high school and has performed at venues including Lincoln Center.

Wright had three children, including actress N'Bushe Wright, who appeared in the movie "Blade" and "Dead Presidents."
