Janitor Accused of Sexually Abusing Teacher at Brooklyn Elementary School: Sources

A custodian at a Brooklyn school is accused of sexually abusing a female staffer at an elementary school, police sources familiar with the investigation tell NBC 4 New York.

Kasim Khan, 32, was cuffed just before noon on Thursday and charged with forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment, according to the NYPD.

It is alleged that Khan rubbed his genitals on a 46-year-old woman's buttocks inside Public School 222 in Marine Park, sources said. Police confirm she is a teacher and that she complained to the school.

A Department of Education spokesman said the allegations are “troubling.”

“Mr. Khan was suspended without pay and is not permitted in any of our school building pending the outcome of the investigation,” DOE Spokesman Douglas Cohen said Friday.

It wasn’t clear if Khan had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
