JFK Terminal Locked Down After Man Evades Security: Officials

A John F. Kennedy International Airport terminal was locked down Saturday after a man made it through security without being screened, authorities said.

The man was ultimately found and taken into custody by police with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, said Erica Dumas, a spokeswoman with the agency. American Airlines locked down Terminal 8 as a precaution until the man was found, Dumas said.

The lockdown delayed some American Airlines flights. It wasn't immediately clear how the man bypassed security.
