Police on Long Island say they've identified an apparent homicide victim found on a front lawn last week as a New York City man.
The man was found shot dead on the lawn of a James Street home in Inwood the evening of Tuesday, July 14, Nassau police said. A passerby called 911 and police responded to the scene.
The man has been identified as 22-year-old Deshawn Henry of Brooklyn.
Police said Henry had been shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
