Long Island Ice Cream Truck Driver Accused of Fondling Girl, 11

An ice cream truck driver has been accused of fondling an 11-year-old girl who tried to buy some ice cream from him on Long Island, police say.

The driver, 63-year-old Muhammad Chaudhry, was arrested Wednesday on endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree sexual abuse charges.

He pleaded not guilty and was being held on $50,000 bail.

Police say the girl approached Chaudhry’s truck in Wyandanch on May 21, and was fondled when she tried to buy ice cream.

It’s not clear if Chaudhry has an attorney. He is set to appear in court in Islip on Thursday.
