A couple and their pet dog were killed in a house fire in New Jersey, authorities say.
Edward Kwiatek, 69, and Theresa Kwiatek, 66, were found dead at their Hillsborough home Thursday evening on High Acre Drive, Hillsborough police say.
The husband's body was recovered from inside the home, while his wife was found outside on the front lawn. First responders' attempts at CPR on Theresa Kwiatek were unsuccessful, authorities say.
The couple's pet dog also died in the fire.
The fire is under investigation but is not considered suspicious.
