A Long Island science teacher has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse involving a student, police say.
Stephen Malusa, a 47-year-old science teacher at Ward Melville High School, is accused od sexually abusing a female student in May 2013.
It's not clear when the alleged victim came forward with the complaint.
Malusa, of Selden, was arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on charges of third-degree sexual abuse and child endangerment.
Attorney information wasn't immediately available, and a phone number listed for him was disconnected.
