    New NYC Program Encourages Healthy Eating for Kids

    A new program at 11 pre-K schools in New York City is designed to instill healthy eating habits for life. Stacey Bell reports. (Published Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014)

    New York City is launching a healthy eating initiative at 11 pre-K schools.

    Children and parents are taking part in a food demonstration Wednesday afternoon. It will feature recipes from a U.S. agriculture department curriculum called "Grow it, Try it, Like it."

    The program uses kid-friendly activities to encourage the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables.
