Gunman Opens Fire at Bronx Club, Woman Hit by Stray Bullet: Police

A woman was hit by a stray bullet when a gunman opened fire in a Bronx club early Wednesday morning, police said.

A 25-year-old woman was inside 718 Lounge Tapas Bar & Grill in the East Tremont section of the Bronx when an unidentified gunman opened fire at around 1:19 a.m., authorities said. 

The suspect fired five shots, one of which hit the victim in the back. Police believe the bullet was a stray and that the woman was not the intended target. 

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.
