A group of people ganged up on a man in the Bronx and beat him with sticks in an apparent robbery, cops say.
Police say two men and two woman chased the 34-year-old man to the front of an apartment building on Walton Avenue and East Fordham Road in Fordham where they attacked him. The group beat the man with sticks and then punched him repeatedly, according to the NYPD.
The victim was able to fight off the stick-wielding suspects but one of them got away with his bag, authorities said.
Surveillance video from the scene shows some of the suspects swinging the sticks while one of the women appears to be yelling at the victim.
Police want witnesses to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS with information that could help investigators track down the suspects.
