New Yorkers Invited to Halloween Party at Gracie Mansion

The party will be held on Oct. 28 and guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for a charity drive

New Yorkers are invited to party at Gracie Mansion with the mayor and first lady this Halloween. 

Mayor Bill de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray are hosting the annual Halloween at Gracie Mansion event the last weekend of October, and will welcome 1,500 people to attend the party and tour the "haunted" mansion. 

The family-friendly event will include face painting and other fun activities for children on the front lawn, according to the mayor's office.

The de Blasios are the first family to reside at Gracie Mansion since 2001. It's located at 88th Street and East End Avenue. 

To enter the ticket giveaway for Halloween at Gracie Mansion, visit www.nyc.gov/graciehalloween or call 311. There will be 1,500 winners selected at random, and they'll be notified by email or phone by Tuesday, Oct. 24.

The event takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27; 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28; and 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29.
