A fawn was rescued and returned to its mother after Port Authority police found it stranded near the George Washington Bridge pedestrian walkway, authorities said.
Police on duty heard the fawn's cries and found it standing on a cliff face on the south side of the Palisades Cliffs in New Jersey.
Officers retrieved the baby deer and reunited it with its mother at the scene. There were no injuries, police said.
