NY Father of 5 With Dementia, Parkinson's Missing

UPDATE: Missing Westchester Man With Dementia, Parkinson's Found Dead

A Westchester senior citizen with dementia and Parkinson's disease has been missing for days, and his family is pleading for the public's help in locating him.

Garry McKeon, 67, was last seen leaving his Mountain View Drive home in Somers early Friday morning wearing a dark blue polo shirt. The father of five requires medication five times a day to stay mobile.

"This is the first time he's been off his medication for that long," said daughter Sara Almeida.

The family's search has expanded as far south as New York City, where he grew up and worked for many years. He may have even thought he was going to work.

"They may not know the address, necessarily, or where they live at the moment but they can recall remarkable things from their past," said Almeida.

With his latest grandchild expected to enter the world at any minute, his family hopes he will make it home safe.

"It's critical, very critical," said Almeida.

The family has set up a Facebook page where they're continuing to update on their search.
