Former Princeton Student Gets 5 Years for Drug Possession

A former Princeton University student who was arrested after picking up a package that contained ecstasy from the campus mailroom has been sentenced to prison.

NJ.com reports  21-year-old Julian Edgren received a five-year sentence Monday in a Mercer County court. He will begin serving the sentence on Nov. 13.

Edgren pleaded guilty earlier this year to multiple drug possession and distribution charges. He was arrested in January after federal agents intercepted an overseas package that was addressed to him.

Authorities said they found liquid LSD, marijuana and other drugs on him at the time of his arrest.
