Former Long Island School Security Guard Charged With Child Sex Abuse

A former Long Island school security guard was arrested on multiple child sex abuse charges Tuesday.

Police say Sean Corragio, 22, was charged with criminal sex acts with a minor, promoting sexual performance by a child, possession of a sexual performance by a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old.

Corragio was arrested after officers executed a search warrant at his Shirley home at 12:30 a.m.

Officials say he was previously employed as a school security guard in the Longwood and William Floyd School Districts and worked as a contractor for Stony Brook University.

It was not immediately clear if Corragio had an attorney.

Detectives ask anyone who may have additional information on Coraggio to call 631-854-8452.
