Brothers' Fight Over Soda During Football Game Ends in Stabbing

The brothers were watching a football game in their apartment when they fought over a soda

Authorities in Jersey City say an argument between two brothers over their last can of soda ended with both of them being stabbed.

The Jersey Journal reports the men were watching a football game in their apartment Sunday night when one of them grabbed the soda. The man then became angry when his brother asked him not to drink the soda, and he allegedly hit his brother in the head with a pipe.

The brother that was hit then used a small knife to stab his sibling several times in the chest. But the sibling grabbed the knife and stabbed his brother in the arm before the brother fled on foot.

Aggravated assault and weapons charges have been filed against the man who fled. He remains at large.
