New Jersey Firehouse Burglarized as Firefighters Save 16-Year-Old Boy From Burning Building

A firehouse in Jersey City was burglarized while firefighters were rescuing a 16-year-old boy from the third floor of a burning building, authorities say.

The burglar made off with wallets, cash, credit cards and other personal items at the Jersey City Fire Department's Tower Ladder 4, near Dwight Street, on Thursday night, officials say.

Firefighters realized the theft when they got back to the firehouse.

There was no immediate update on the boy's condition Friday.
