Firefighter, Civilian Injured in Manhattan Blaze

One firefighter and one civilian were injured when a three-alarm blaze erupted in a multi-story building in Manhattan early Friday, authorities said.

 
The FDNY said the firefighter was treated for minor injuries. The civilian was hospitalized in unknown condition.
 
The fire spread to four floors of the building on West 188th Street after breaking out shortly after 4:30 a.m., according to the FDNY. 
 
The blaze was contained by 7 a.m. 
 
The cause is under investigation.
