Apartment Fire Deaths Probed as Homicides: Police

Authorities are investigating at least two of the deaths of three people found after an apartment fire in Queens early Tuesday as homicides, officials said.

The bodies of Brian Lee, 16, Sung Hye Lee, 54, and Jong Hoon Lee, 50, were found in an apartment at a six-story building on Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing after firefighters extinguished the flames around 5 a.m., police said.

The blaze was confined to the apartment where the bodies were found. They were found on the floor in the living room. Police say at least one body had lacerations indicative of foul play.

Police said Jong Hoon Lee is a suspect in the case.

No other residents were hurt in the fire.
