A two-alarm fire erupted on the roof of a courthouse near Madison Square Park on Friday, according to authorities.
An FDNY call came in after 11 a.m. about the fire on the roof of Manhattan Appellate Courthouse at 27 Madison Avenue.
Responding firefighters found flames on the roof and around the mechanical equipment room, officials said. Photos and video posted to social media showed a heavy emergency presence at the scene.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The blaze was declared under control within an hour.
