NY Waterway to Build Two New Ferries to Run From New Jersey to NYC

New York Waterway has announced an $11 million deal to build two new commuter ferries in New Jersey.

Cape May County-based Yank Marine in Upper Township will begin work on the 400-passenger vessels this month, with delivery due in 2015.

The shipyard employs more than 50 people and has been in business for more than 40 years.

The boats will shuttle commuters between NY Waterway's terminal in Middletown and Manhattan.
