Ferry Boat Makes River Rescue

A New York ferry boat that helped rescue passengers from a jetliner that splashed landed on the Hudson River has been involved in another rescue.
       
Deck hands from the Admiral Richard Bennis, captained by Kurt Hansen, plucked four people out of the Hudson River off Ossining Tuesday night, NY Waterway spokesman Pat Smith said .

The ferry boat, which was carrying 150 passengers, was traveling from Ossining to Haverstraw when it came upon four people in the water next to a 21-foot boat that had capsized. Smith said the boaters, who were not seriously injured, were picked up and brought to Haverstraw.
       
The Admiral Richard Bennis was one of the ferry boats that helped rescue passengers from a US Airways jet that splash-landed in the Hudson on Jan. 15 after a collision with a flock of birds knocked out both engines. All 155 aboard survived.
