Feds: Heroin Mill Found Near Times Square

Drug Enforcement Administration agents raided a Midtown building Wednesday night being used as heroin dealing drug house, officials said.

Four people were arrested in the search at 417 West 43rd Street.  A 'heroin mill' with more than $6 million in illegal drugs were found, DEA spokeswoman Erin Mulvey said.

The New York State Special Narcotics prosecutor said more than 13 kilograms of heroin were seized in the raid which is part of an ongoing drug investigation.

The raid happened in a building near Times Square - which for years has shed its image as a center for drugs and sex shops.  Instead, the Crossroads of the World" has become a tourist and family entertainment center.

As for the suspects, they are expected to appear in court in lower Manhattan on the related drug charges.

The arrests came a day after a separate heroin bust, when police arrested seven members of an alleged heroin trafficking ring operating out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
