3 Arrested in Scam to Sell Fake Giants Tickets

The tickets were for Sunday's game against the Cowboys

Police have arrested three men they say were peddling fake tickets to Sunday's Giants game against the Dallas Cowboys after a fan was duped by the scam.

Polie say the fan bought one of the fake tickets and reported it to police, who set up a sting to meet with the men selling the tickets on Tuesday.

While undercover police were meeting with one of the sellers inside a building in midtown Manhattan, two other men allegedly involved in the scam were outside in a car.

A police sergeant came upon those men and began to question them, and noticed a stack of fake Giants tickets in the car.

One of the men in the car fled, but police chased him and caught him. During that chase, the sergeant was hit by a car and suffered a minor injury.

The other man in the car was also arrested, and the man in the building was also taken into custody.
