Award-Winning FDNY EMT Licks, Gropes Drunk Woman on Way to Hospital: Police

Michael Seebrat, an eight-year veteran of the FDNY who was honored for saving a patient's life en route to the hospital in 2016, was arrested Friday

A 46-year-old FDNY EMT who once won a medal for saving a patient has been arrested for allegedly groping a 24-year-old blacked-out drunk woman and licking her breasts while transporting her to the hospital via ambulance over the summer.

Michael Seebrat, an eight-year veteran of the FDNY who was honored for saving a patient's life en route to the hospital in 2015, was arrested Friday on a single charge of sexual abuse.

Authorities say he was taking the woman to Lenox Hill to be treated for intoxication in July when she woke up to find him licking and groping her breasts.

The woman reported the incident then and Seebrat was recently linked through DNA, according to authorities.

Jim Long, an FDNY spokesman, told NBC 4 that in addition to the criminal charge Seebrat faces unpaid suspension from the department.

Attorney information for Seebrat wasn't immediately available.
