Empire State Building Goes Dark in Tribute to Victims of NYC Truck Attack

The Empire State Building went dark Wednesday night in honor of the victims of Tuesday's truck attack in Lower Manhattan.

Eight people were killed and a dozen more injured when authorities say Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov plowed a rental truck through a busy bike lane in Tribeca.

Those killed in the truck attack were from Argentina, Belgium, New York and New Jersey.

The iconic New York building often dims its lights to pay respect to victims of mass casualty events; it recently went dark after a mass shooting in Las Vegas, a van attack in Barcelona and a concert bombing in Manchester.
