A 51-year-old emotionally disturbed man who had scissors in his hand when police responded to a 911 call at a Bronx home died after being shocked with a stun gun, authorities said Monday.
Police say a uniformed supervisor shocked the man after responding to the home on Loring Place and finding him with scissors. He was placed into custody and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The man's name has not been released.
The medical examiner will determine how he died.
