Emergency roadway repairs caused 90-minute delays on the inbound George Washington Bridge Tuesday morning.
Crews were working on fixing an expansion joint on the southbound Major Deegan Expressway near Yankee Stadium, leading to the bridge backup.

But the commute nightmare extended to the rails as well.
There were 20-minute delays on several Metro North lines, delays of at least 15 minutes in and out of Penn Station for New Jersey Transit, and 15 minute delays for LIRR’s Port Jeff and Ronkonkoma branches.
