Police say an elderly driver attempting to back into a parking spot in Brooklyn lost control of his vehicle and struck three pedestrians, killing a 67-year-old woman.
It happened just after 1 p.m. Monday on Brighton Beach Avenue in Brighton Beach.
Police say a 33-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when the vehicle mounted the curb. The 67-year-old woman died after sustaining severe body trauma. Her name wasn't immediately released.
Police say the 85-year-old driver remained at the scene.
