Police say they've arrested the man who allegedly followed a woman into her apartment building in East Harlem and tried to rape her.

Justin Ramirez, a 22-year-old homeless man, has been arrested in the attack Monday night, police said Wednesday.

Surveillance video shows the man walking down East 102nd Street, then following a 31-year-old woman into her building and up the stairs.

Police said he attacked her but she was able to fight him off and scream for help. As the suspect tries to leave, he's confronted by a man at the door, video shows. Another neighbor said he saw the suspect run off.

"He open door, he go downstairs, the people started running to the corner," said Aaron Pareja.

Someone at the victim's door said Tuesday she is doing OK, though shaken up.
