Infant Boy Seriously Hurt in East Harlem Blaze

The fire broke out about 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the third floor of the East 118th Street apartment building

Fire officials say a 2-month-old boy and five other people were injured in a fire in Harlem.      

The fire broke out about 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the third floor of the East 118th Street apartment building.      

The infant was taken to Harlem Hospital in serious condition, suffering from smoke inhalation.      

Another tenant was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.      

At least three firefighters suffered minor injuries.      

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
