1 Hurt After Dump Truck Plows Into Long Island Laundromat: Police

One person was hurt after a driver got out of a dump truck on a hill and forgot to put the emergency brake on, sending the vehicle careening down the slope and into a laundromat on Long Island Tuesday, authorities say.

The out-of-control dump truck plowed into the Harbour Hill Dry Cleaners at Roslyn Road and Lincoln Avenue in Roslyn Heights at about noon, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Authorities say that one person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after the crash.

Images of the crash site show the dump truck nearly halfway inside the business. Several firefighters can be seen at the scene.
