The medical examiner ruled the man's death a homicide.

Police are investigating the May death of a drunk man in Brooklyn as a homicide.

Authorities said late Tuesday the case had been reclassified based on the medical examiner's investigation.

Julius Howard, 50, was found "highly intoxicated" near Nostrand and Prospect avenues May 19 after emergency crews responded to a call about a man needing help, according to police. He was taken to a hospital, where workers noticed he was bleeding from cuts to the head.

    Howard died 10 days later.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
