Feds: Drug Ring FedExed Coke X-Country

NEW YORK -- Prosecutors said 10 people have been indicted on charges they ran a cocaine distribution ring that spanned from California to Staten Island.

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said the indictment charges the suspects with possession and sale of cocaine.

The indictments were handed down in the ww the result of a six-month investigation that included the New York Police Department and Staten Island district attorney's office.

Authorities say two Staten Island brothers are accused of importing drugs from suppliers in the San Diego area.

Brothers Richard Fallacaro, 33, and Joseph Fallacaro, 35, of Staten Island, are accused of importing between six and 15 kilograms of cocaine a week from their alleged suppliers in the San Diego area, Christopher Chacon and Michael Platt.

The alleged suppliers, who also are charged, will be extradited to New York.

The drug were shipped via UPS and FedEx to other locations, prosecutors said, making thousands of dollars in profit. The suspects are awaiting indictment Wednesday in Staten Island court.
