4 Men Arrested in Long Island Drug House Bust

Police arrested four men at a home linked to at least five drug overdose cases, two of them fatal, law enforcement officials said.

Detectives and police officials have been working together in an effort to combat a growing opioid epidemic in Suffolk County.

Police obtained a search warrant for 130 Norfleet Lane in Medford, where they seized narcotics, weapons and illegal cash. They discovered two pistols, a shotgun, fentanyl, crack cocaine and other substances, and $10,000 in drug money.

The four men in the residence tried to flee, but were arrested. Three were charged with criminal sale and possession of controlled substances and weapons, police said. One man was charged with loitering, police said.

"We're not going to stand for the peddling of this poison to communities," said Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy Sini during a press conference on Saturday.

Sini urged the public to reach out for help or to report information on drug dealers to 631-852-NARC.
