A driver tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his van in Brooklyn by offering her $50, the NYPD said.

The girl was walking near Willoughby Avenue and Saint Nicholas Avenue in Bushwick around 11 a.m. on Saturday when a person she didn’t know drove up in a grey 2014 Kia Sedona minivan and asked the girl to come up to his vehicle, police said.

When the girl approached, the driver said he’d give her $50 if she got into the van, according to police.

The girl fled the scene and the driver rode off in an unknown direction, the NYPD said.

Police are now searching for the driver, who may have been in his 20s.
