RI Driver IDed in Thanksgiving Crash That Killed NYC Woman

Amy Mazzola Flynn, 48, was struck by a car while walking with her family

Police have identified the Rhode Island man they say was driving a car that struck two pedestrians on Thanksgiving, killing a New York City woman.

Westerly police on Monday said that 78-year-old Reginald Fullerton was driving the car that struck and killed 48-year-old Amy Mazzola Flynn.

Police say Flynn's 11-year-old daughter, Amy, was also injured. She was released from a hospital after being treated.

Police say no charges have been charged against Fullerton, of Westerly, who has been cooperating with authorities.

Investigators say alcohol or excessive speed do not appear to be factors in the crash although police are awaiting toxicology results.

Amy Mazzola Flynn was struck on a road in the Watch Hill area of Westerly, where she was a longtime seasonal resident.

She died at the scene.
