Doctor to Surrender Medical License Amid Sex Charges

A New Jersey doctor accused of inappropriately touching seven women has agreed to temporarily surrender his medical license.

The Record reports Raja Jagtiani's lawyer told a judge Monday that the Bergenfield doctor has agreed to a temporary suspension of his license pending the outcome of the charges.

Authorities said the 54-year-old Dumont man was arrested in August after a patient and three employees accused him of inappropriately touching them. He faces multiple counts of criminal sexual contact and other offenses.

Three other patients came forward with similar allegations after his arrest. He has denied the charges.

An attorney who represents the State Board of Medical Examiners says that the board president is expected to formally sign the order.
