A driver was killed after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on Route 280 in New Jersey Tuesday afternoon, authorities say.
The tractor-trailer was going in the westbound lane of Route 280 in Parsippany when it apparently lost some of its carriage. The driver attempted to pull over when a car traveling behind the truck in the same lane crashed into the trailer.
The driver of the car was killed, authorities say. Police were on the scene investigating, and traffic was backed up over 10 miles during the evening rush.
