Damp and Gloomy Conditions Expected for Father's Day Weekend

It may be safer to have that barbecue indoors on Father's Day, as the weekend will be muggy and wet.

Friday night sets up a preview of what to expect on the weekend, with showers and a low of 67 degrees, meteorologists say.

Gloomy conditions will continue throughout the weekend, with the weather becoming more warm and humid by Father's Day on Sunday, forecasters say.

Saturday will have a high of 80 degrees, with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Sunday will be the stickier of the two days, with a high of 84 degrees and a possibility of thunderstorms, mainly across inland areas, Storm Team 4 said.

And the damp weather won't quit as we approach the beginning of next week. A cold front will approach the tri-state Monday afternoon into the evening, generating widespread showers, heavy thunderstorms and gusty winds that will continue through Tuesday morning, Storm Team 4 said.
