Man, 57, Shot Dead in Queens After Argument: NYPD

A 57-year-old man who law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York appears to be an off-duty correction officer was fatally shot during an argument with two people in Queens early Friday.

Police said the man was shot on 10th Avenue near 226th Street in Queens Village shortly before 4:30 a.m. 

He was pronounced dead at Long Island Jewish Hospital. 

Police said two people are being questioned in connection with the shooting.
