Cops Hunt Serial Granny Mugger in Brooklyn

Surveillance video captures suspect on tape

Police are looking for a man who allegedly steals from defenseless old ladies in Brooklyn.

Cops believe the suspect has robbed at least six women in their 70s or older in the last two months. In each case, the suspect approaches the victim from behind, pushes her to the ground, forcibly removes her property and flees the scene.

The victims, all but one of whom had her necklace stolen, each sustained minor injuries in the incidents.

The first robbery occurred July 23 and the second August 13, followed by one every three or four days through August 27th. The women ranged in age from 70 to 84.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, about 5'9" to 6'0" tall and weighing about 140 to 165 pounds. Cops released the above surveillance video in hopes of tracking him down.
