A missing couple from Plainfield, N.J., may have been found dead in the trunk of a car in Brooklyn last night.
Evande Orna and Troy Edwards were last seen in Plainfield on February 20.
The bodies were found in the trunk of a silver Altima in East Flatbush, according to an official with knowledge of the investigation.
Cops received a call Wednesday night about a suspicious car in front of a building in Brooklyn. They haven't said what was suspicious about the car, but residents in the area said it had been parked there for a few days and had gotten a few tickets.
Detectives Thursday confirmed the identity of the couple. The medical examiner's office said the man died from a gunshot wound. An autopsy on the woman is still pending.
The couple was last seen heading to Virginia when they disappeared.
Police in Richmond, Va., have been investigating the couple's disappearance.
Last week officials there said they had recovered evidence in their disappearance, including duct tape and blood in their hotel room.
