Cops Arrest Homeless Man In Port Authority Robbery

A 27-year-old homeless man is in custody

A knife-wielding robbery suspect was arrested by Port Authority police Thursday evening as he tried to escape the bus terminal moments after a brazen hold-up during rush hour, cops said.

Police arrested a 27-year-old homeless man after his alleged victim, a  43 year-old man, pointed him out to authorities.

The suspect had multiple piercings which helped him stand out in the crowd. A Port Authority spokesman said he was caught with the knife and the property he allegedly stole. The victim was not injured.

Investigators said this is the third robbery involving the suspect, an alleged member of the Latin Kings gang. He is charged with 1st degree robbery and is awaiting arraignment in Manhattan criminal court.
