Flying stones struck seven cars but no one was hurt

Three teens from Levittown have been arrested for tossing big rocks at cars on the Southern State parkway in Wantagh, according to New York state police.

The flying rocks struck seven cars but no one was hurt, according to state police spokesman Frank Bandiero. One of the cars was a Nassau police car and the officer inside and several of his colleagues eventually rounded up the alleged rock throwers.

They will be facing reckless endangerment and criminal mischief charges.

One of the teens, 15, will be charged as a juvenile. The others, both 17, will be charged as adults.

The incident happened in the eastbound lanes of the Southern State near Wantagh Avenue.
