Cop Makes 3 Drunk Driving Arrests in One Shift

One of the arrested described as a repeat offender

It was a busy shift for one Long Island police officer Tuesday, when he arrested three drunk drivers in one night.

The officer, Sgt. Jeffrey Walker, was assigned to the Holiday DWI Task Force. He made the arrests in Suffolk County during his 8 p.m. to 4-a.m. shift Tuesday into Wednesday, authorities said.

The first arrest came during his second hour of his shift. Sgt. Walker stopped Nancy Palmeri, 46, on Sagtikos Parkway.  She is described by authorities as a repeat offender.  Next came Paul Sende, 33, who was arrested on Suffolk Avenue on suspicion of a misdemeanor DWI.

The third arrest came around 3 a.m. when Robert Cochrane, 50, was charged with DWI as a misdemeanor.
